Cookie Notice

Last updated · 9 June 2026Effective from · 4 June 2026

This notice explains the cookies and similar storage technologies we use on eatropolis.co.nz, why we use them, and how you can change your mind. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy — read both for the full picture.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser. We also use localStorage in your browser to remember your cookie preferences between visits and to keep your chat history with our concierge on this device.

Cookies on eatropolis.co.nz

We split cookies into two groups: essential (always on) and analytics (only on if you've said yes). We also run anonymous, cookie-free analytics from your first visit — it measures aggregate page views without storing anything on your device or identifying you.

When you first visit you'll see a small banner asking whether you accept analytics cookies: choosing Accept switches on fuller cookie-based analytics, and Decline keeps it cookie-free.

Essential cookies

These are needed to keep the site working safely. They can't be turned off.

Analytics

By default we use cookie-free analytics (Google's Consent Mode): your visit is counted anonymously, with no cookie and no identifier stored on your device. When you press Accept, we additionally set analytics cookies for fuller, aggregate insight into which pages people find useful — they don't follow you around the web.

If you Decline, no analytics cookie is set — measurement stays anonymous and cookie-free.

You can change your mind at any time:

We are working on adding a "Manage cookie preferences" link to the site footer that re-opens the banner on demand; this notice will be updated when that is in place.

How to contact us
