Refunds & Ticket Policy

Last updated · 9 June 2026Effective from · 4 June 2026

This policy covers what happens after you've bought a ticket — refunds, exchanges, transfers, and the rules if the event itself changes. It works in tandem with our Terms & Conditions and does not limit your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

At a glance

Tickets and the Consumer Guarantees Act

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 apply to ticket purchases as a service. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.

Refunds requested by you

Tickets are non-refundable on the basis of a change of mind. If our ticketing partner offers a self-service exchange or refund window, that is your first port of call — check the email confirmation they sent you.

We will consider refund requests on compassionate or medical grounds on a case-by-case basis when the request is made in writing before the event start time and is supported by reasonable evidence. Approval is at our discretion.

Event cancellation by Eatropolis

If Eatropolis is cancelled outright before the event runs, ticket holders receive a full refund of the ticket face value. Booking and payment fees charged by the ticketing partner are refunded according to that partner's own terms.

Refunds are processed back to the original payment method within fifteen New Zealand business days of the cancellation announcement.

Event postponement

If the event is postponed to a new date:

Weather and rain-or-shine policy

Eatropolis is staged inside SHED-10, a covered venue. The event runs in light rain, wind, or cool conditions. We will only cancel or pause due to weather if the venue, emergency services, or public-safety authorities advise it. If that happens, the cancellation rules above apply.

Ticket transfers

You may transfer your ticket to another person before the event by reissuing it through the ticketing partner's transfer flow, where supported. The new holder accepts the Terms & Conditions at entry. Reselling tickets above face value is not permitted under the Major Events Management Act 2007 for any event designated under that Act, and is discouraged in any case.
