Acceptance
By purchasing a ticket, RSVPing to a workshop, submitting a form, or entering the venue, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
The event
Eatropolis is a one-day food festival featuring participating chefs, partner restaurants, workshops, and licensed beverages. Doors open at 12:00 NZST and last entry is 19:15 NZST. The published programme is indicative — the organiser may adjust the schedule, line-up, or workshop content if circumstances require.
Tickets and entry
- A valid ticket is required for entry. Your ticket is a licence to attend, not a transferable good.
- The ticket holder must be able to present the ticket (digital or printed) on arrival.
- Children must be accompanied by a ticketed adult; under-18s cannot purchase or consume alcohol.
- The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry, or to remove any guest, where required by law, by the venue, or to protect the safety and enjoyment of other guests.
Pricing and payment
Ticket prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST where applicable. Payment is processed by our ticketing partner; their booking fee and payment terms apply in addition to these terms.
Workshops, signature dishes, and bar service may incur additional charges that are paid on site or via the ticketing platform.
Refunds and cancellation
Refunds, exchanges, transfers, and what happens if the event is cancelled or rescheduled are covered separately in our Refunds & Ticket Policy. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 are not affected by these terms.
Conduct on site
We expect all guests, chefs, staff, and volunteers to follow our Code of Conduct. Harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour, and disruption of service are grounds for removal without refund.
Photography and filming
Eatropolis is a publicly photographed and filmed event. By attending, you accept that you may appear in photographs or video taken for editorial, promotional, or archival use. Tell a staff member if you do not wish to be photographed in a specific moment and we will do our best to honour that.
Allergies and dietary requirements
Participating kitchens prepare a wide range of cuisines on shared lines. We cannot guarantee that any dish is free from any specific allergen. If you have a serious allergy, please speak with the kitchen team before ordering and check the dish labelling on site.
Liability and force majeure
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the organiser is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your attendance. Nothing in these terms limits the liability of the organiser for personal injury caused by negligence, or for any consumer guarantee that applies under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 to non-business consumers.
The organiser may cancel, postpone, or modify the event for reasons outside its reasonable control — including but not limited to extreme weather, public-health restrictions, venue unavailability, or natural disaster. In such cases the refund terms in Refunds & Ticket Policy apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts. The Fair Trading Act 1986 and the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 apply to consumer purchases and override anything in these terms to the extent of any inconsistency.
How to contact us
For questions about these terms, write to info@eatropolis.co.nz. We aim to reply within two New Zealand business days.
